Patient & Caregiver Impact: SSM Health Cancer Care

In partnership with the Raymond and Grace Harmon Charitable Foundation, SSM Health Foundation – St. Louis was able to purchase head coverings and professional cleaning/sanitization of wigs for patients undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation. For an estimated 240 patients, these wigs and hair coverings now bring much-needed comfort and confidence after treatment.

SSM Health Foundation – St. Louis also funded a partnership between the Cancer Resource Center and the Look Good Feel Better Foundation to offer three in-person workshops for cancer patients in St. Charles County. Like the head coverings, these workshops offered 18 patients a space to rediscover their confidence, find comfort, and experience the spiritual healing that can come from self-care during treatments.
